We’re home!
Founded in 1999, APA is proud to be celebrating 26 years of saving lives. We celebrated our 25th anniversary by moving into our new shelter which is located at 3808 Hamburg Pike in Jeffersonville, Indiana. Our volunteers worked tirelessly to make the house we bought into the new home for the Fabulous Felines of APA.
We are thrilled beyond words to be settled into our new shelter. This move represents a huge step for us and we are looking forward to our next 25 years in our new home.
You can visit the new shelter and meet the Fabulous Felines of APA on Saturdays from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. These are our regular adoption and visitation hours.
We’ve been in the new shelter since August 10, 2024 and we feel like we’ve made a home for the cats. It’s not a shelter anymore. We truly have a sanctuary for our kitties whether their stay is a few weeks or this is their forever home. We hope they feel that too.
Our new shelter wouldn’t be possible without a generous gift from the late Vickey Aubrey who left us a donation when she passed away. We also appreciate all of the people who have donated to our capital campaign last year.
As we start the new year, we wanted to give you an update on our capital campaign. What started out as a 20-year mortgage is now a 10-1/2-year mortgage! Our loan balance is now $86,500. Our capital campaign goal for 2025 is to raise $12,700 which would pay our monthly mortgage payments.
You can help us make our monthly mortgage payments by setting up a monthly donation to our capital campaign or by signing up for a $100 sponsorship.
You can set up a monthly donation by clicking the donate now button below. This could be set up through Venmo, PayPal, credit card or any other way that makes it easy for you.
You can also purchase commemorative plaques for $100. You can have a pet’s name, person’s name or business recognized on a plaque that will be displayed in a permanent place at the APA shelter. If you are interested in a commemorative plaque, please email us at [email protected].

We are excited about this new chapter in our lives and we hope you will join us and be part of APA’s next 25 years by supporting our capital campaign.
